Where does your cognitive concept linked to your musical and stylistic concert evolve from?
My reasoning behind the performance arises from the fact that I take into account the style of the individual composer. I respect the historical period and what the composer wants to communicate to the public. If we talk about interpretation instead, my modus operandi is a little more experimental.
What does music represent for you?
Music is a necessity of the soul, it gives me rapture and not reasoning. Behind the shape of the notes I usually find infinity, and I am convinced that infinity cannot be explained simply with words. So for me music is a different and inexplicable way of communicating. My performances are greatly influenced by my sensitivity and that of the accompanist, with whom a profound dialogue is created.
Why and when did you start this beautiful musical activity?
I started this journey at the tender age of 3 studying piano with my aunt Maria, a professional musician. The passion for the violin was born almost as a game. My father jealously guarded a violin given to him by my grandfather in the showcase at home, and I always went to play it. One evening, while we were listening to “Europa” by Carlos Santana, I took that violin and started playing the melody on the D string by ear. From that episode my parents understood how much I was attracted to this four-stringed instrument, and so I started my first private lessons. Later they discovered that I have perfect pitch and so I began my professional studies at the conservatory.
